What does it mean to live a life of intention with purpose and passion and a whole lot of joy?
Today, I’m welcoming Ashley and Dino Petrone onto the show. You may know Ashley and Dino from their popular Instagram account @arrowsandbow where I first started following Ashley about 4 years ago. I was so inspired by her and drawn to her emphasis on finding joy in what she calls the in-between that I knew she would be perfect for the pod!
Join me as Ashley and Dino share about finding the joy in the in-between in these seasons of life:
- How the experience of living as a family of 5 in a 180-square-foot trailer brought them closer together and learned the value of minimalism
- How they strengthened their marriage and prioritized their relationship
- How Dino knew that he needed to live a life of intention and how he implemented shifts in his life
- Why they have a no screen time family practice on the weekends
- And they share with us their newest business ventures!
- Renovating the Joie Inn on Anna Maria Island in Florida
- Opening the Fox Mercantile which will be part coffee shop and part home decor
And last but not least we celebrate Ashley and Dino becoming authors! You can grab their debut book Designed to Last – Our Journey of Building an Intentional Home, Growing in Faith, and Finding Joy in the In-Between – on April 5, 2022.
If you are ready to find the joy in the in-between pop in those ear buds and press play!

Meet Ashley and Dino Petrone
Ashley and Dino Petrone have been married since 2006 and make their home in Florida with their four kids: Gabe, Gavin, Quinn, and Foxi. Ashley began her popular Instagram account @ArrowsandBow as a way to document her home-design journey. It took off during the seventeen months their family lived in the 180-square-foot trailer she’d transformed from an outdated RV into a bright and welcoming home. Dino is a senior engineer and Ashley is a full-time mom, blogger, and interior designer.

Kate’s Joyful Corner
This week I am so grateful and excited because I’ve just launched my new website! You can still find me over at mskatehouse.com, but I’ve just given my website a brand new, goooorgeous look!
Prior to the podcast I had a blog, and from that grew the podcast! Now 100+ blog posts in, and it’s really grown into something bigger than when I first started in 2019.
I’ve spent the last YEAR (yes, it’s taken that long! #notawebdesigner #butwillingtolearn) building this website and migrating everything over to it. Phew, I’m tired just thinking about it all over again!
I’m really proud of myself for getting out of my comfort zone because I’m not naturally gifted at writing my own copy, so that was a learning experience! But above all, I’m grateful to myself for approaching this project fearlessly…all while giving myself grace for all the learning mistakes I made along the way. Because that’s how we learn new things, after all!
So this week I’m grateful to myself for showing up throughout this process and creating something that I think is really beautiful and will serve you really well.
I’d love for you to check out the new website and come visit me on instagram and let me know what you think!
