Today, I’m excited to welcome author Allison Smith onto the podcast. Allison and I connected over on Instagram over a shared love of personal growth, running, reading…really all the things!
A little while back, I was lucky enough to win one of Allison’s books, Fill Up to Spill Out, in a raffle which was thrilling for me because you know how much I love to read. And after reading Allison’s work, I knew she would be a perfect guest over here on the pod.
Allison shares with us the importance of making yourself a priority, the value of being intentional about how you use your time, and how she wants to wake up each day to find peace, joy, and purpose in her life.
So friend, if you are ready to stop pouring from an empty cup, and you’re ready to fill up to spill out, then pop in your earbuds and let’s learn together..

The Live By Design Collective
It’s easy to fall into the rinse and repeat rhythm of life: parenting, work, caregiving, errands, and to-dos always seem to take the front seat while your self-care, creativity, and passions ride in the back.
And guess what, friend? You’re the only one who can change this. You get to decide to live by design, not by default.
The LBD Collective is your hype girl community, sacred sisterhood, and health coach in your back pocket – it’s 2 hours monthly of me-time to help you turn your spark back on.
So if you loved this episode – if it made you feel seen, heard, or included – then the LBD Collective is your place to keep the conversation going, and we want you part of it. Follow this link to learn more or join today!
Meet Allison Smith
I’m Allison Smith and I live in Texas with my husband, two girls, and our Goldendoodle who thinks she is a child. I’ve worked in healthcare for 20 years, currently working as a family nurse practitioner in my community. I am multi-passionate about lots of things including personal development, reading, running, and writing. Over the last few years, I’ve written and self-published two books and hope to keep writing and encouraging others and just trying to be a bright spot on the internet that often feels dark.

Kate’s Joyful Corner
This week I am so grateful and excited to be gardening again – specifically vegetable gardening…which also means that it’s officially springtime here in Gettysburg, PA…something else that’s worthy of celebration!
I grew up gardening in my dad and grandma’s gardens, and I’m really looking forward to passing that on to my boys as well. I love the time outdoors, the quality tech-free time with family, and of course the delicious vegetables that come from the garden itself!
And I do still consider myself a gardening newbie so if you have any tips or suggestions please send me a DM on instagram!
