Have you ever found yourself wondering about the big things in life? Like, “what is my life’s purpose?” And then you immediately dismiss the thought because it feels too heavy, overwhelming, or maybe you feel like you’ve already fallen behind and it’s too late to start thinking about it, so why bother starting now?
Today, we are talking about purpose – but in a way that feels approachable and doable. I’m going to share three specific things with you that will help take the pressure off this weighty topic and help all of us know that we can identify a life full of purpose, and start pursuing it today – and without having to drastically change everything about your life to do so.
So friend, let’s start leaning into our purpose together, one decision, one habit, and one day at a time.

The Live By Design Collective
It’s easy to fall into the rinse and repeat rhythm of life: parenting, work, caregiving, errands, and to-dos always seem to take the front seat while your self-care, creativity, and passions ride in the back.
And guess what, friend? You’re the only one who can change this. You get to decide to live by design, not by default.
The LBD Collective is your hype girl community, sacred sisterhood, and health coach in your back pocket – it’s 2 hours monthly of me-time to help you turn your spark back on.
So if you loved this episode – if it made you feel seen, heard, or included – then the LBD Collective is your place to keep the conversation going, and we want you part of it.

Kate’s Joyful Corner
Even though I am currently in this season of grief and mourning over the loss of my brother, David, who passed away three weeks ago, I am still looking for little pockets of joy in my days.
Some days are really hard and heavy and then there are days where I get a glimpse of joy. And I know that I’m currently in a really hard season of life and I’m giving myself permission to feel all the feels which includes sadness and happiness, sometimes both within the same day.
The two things that have brought me great joy this week is that my two little boys got their very first Covid vaccination shot. This is so exciting that my whole family is now vaccinated! Throughout the pandemic we have been fairly careful and mindful with our outings and actions. So there is so much relief and peace of mind knowing that the boys are more protected now.
The second thing I’m grateful for is my Grandma-in-Law, Peeps – which is her family nickname. She is the greatest Grandma-in-Law I could ever ask for! The boys and I took her for a movie date to see the new Buzz Lightyear movie and it was so much fun! My heart was so happy watching my boys walk into the theater holding Peeps’ hands and sharing a tub of popcorn with her!
It made me really happy that I had the opportunity to go to a Tuesday afternoon matinee with my kid’s and their great grandma and spend that quality time together, because if there’s anything I’m learning in this season that I’m in right now of grief, is that life is short and we are never guaranteed time. We have to appreciate these special moments when they present themselves and go out and purposefully cultivate them for ourselves.
