I’m thrilled this week to sit down with Rachael Lund, Certified Spiritual Director with a Masters Degree in Soul Care, for a conversation about inner child work. Rachael is one half of the dynamic duo that makes up the Instagram sensation @happywholeway, and it’s her mission to help women find a safe and loving home within themselves.
Today Rachael shares with us how she’s personally used inner child work to heal childhood wounds of self-mistrust, self-loathing, and fear. To this day, she continues to guide others through the same process so that they too can heal.
Rachael believes that none of us are broken, and it’s with this spirit of self-love and compassion that we enter this discussion. So if you too are ready to be your own best healer, then pop in your earbuds and press play as Rachael guides us through the framework for inner child work and why it’s crucial to your healing journey.
The Live By Design Collective
It’s easy to fall into the rinse and repeat rhythm of life: parenting, work, caregiving, errands, and to-dos always seem to take the front seat while your self-care, creativity, and passions ride in the back.
And guess what, friend? You’re the only one who can change this. You get to decide to live by design, not by default.
The LBD Collective is your hype girl community, sacred sisterhood, and health coach in your back pocket – it’s 2 hours monthly of me-time to help you turn your spark back on.
So if you loved this episode – if it made you feel seen, heard, or included – then the LBD Collective is your place to keep the conversation going, and we want you part of it. Follow this link to learn more or join today!
Meet Rachael
Hi! I’m Rachael, co-founder of Happy Whole Way, a community where ex-religious women come to learn how to shift out of their religious programming and come home to themselves. I have my Masters degree in Soul Care and am a certified Spiritual Director with 15+ yrs experience.
I tried it all after I left being a pastor many years ago. Self help fads, books, new age spirituality, diets–you name it–all with the hopes of feeling happy and whole. Nothing worked until I realized that I wasn’t broken after all, as my religion had conditioned me to believe. Life changed when I finally got off the hamster wheel of trying to “fix” myself.
I co-created Happy Whole U with Cara, my business partner, to distill our decades of learning into an easy format for women to grab ahold of. Happy Whole U is a 10 week course and small group coaching program where we have helped hundreds of women get off that never ending hamster wheel of looking for a “cure” to their problems, by instead teaching practical tools to care for yourself through every season of life.

This week I’m grateful for my friend Lyndsey, yes the same Lyndsey from our Apple review of the week!
I recently celebrated my birthday and a few days before it rolled around I came home to find a giant box from Milk Bar.
If you don’t know about Milk Bar it’s all based on that delicious milk that’s left over in your cereal bowl. You know when you have a bowl of sugary cereal and there’s that sweet, delicious milk left behind? That’s like the brainchild for Milk Bar.
Lyndsey was so kind and sent me multiple pints of ice cream and these incredible truffles that tasted like cake and ice cream and cookie dough all at the same time. I don’t know how they do it but it’s delicious!
This was just the sweetest, kindest surprise to come home too, and I’m grateful for my friend who inspires me, showers me with so much kindness, and is a huge supporter and cheerleader of the podcast and myself.
It’s friends like Lyndsey that are really special and I truly treasure our friendship. So Lyndsey, thank you for being such an amazing friend, and for the delicious birthday treats!
